I hope my family like throw cushions
Since starting this and mentally deciding to use all my random balls of wool on small crafty projects, I have discovered that throw cushions are the go! You can experiment with patterns and wools and make more middle-aged crafts for teenagers apartments!
I think I used too big a needles on this one. But I love the colour and how soft it is.
I made this weeks ago so of course I can barely remember the pattern now. But I do remember I wanted it to look like stripes in rows of 4.
Cast on 50 stitches.
Row 1 Knit
Row 2 Pearl
Row 3 Knit
Row 4 (you guessed it) Pearl
Row 5 Pearl (we are going to switch it around)
Row 6 Knit
Row 7 Pearl
Row 8 Knit
Row 9 Knit
And keep on going till you run out of wool.
Then I measure, folded it in half and order a 12 x 12 inch inner! EASY.
I did block this one too, which I don’t normally bother doing. Basically put in warm water then lay in the sun to dry and it will hold its shape. Luckily this day it was 120F outside so it fried it.
This took me a couple of hours to do, and I realized that this is a great way to fill an empty apartment with things to make it feel homey. So my son and his girlfriend better love throw cushions!
